What Kind Of Smoothies Can I Make At Home?

Fruit Smoothies
Fruit smoothies are awesome concoctions made of different fruits (and sometimes vegetables) you mix together. Fruit smoothies are an excellent healthy snack for kids (& adult kids) and are very easy to make. You can use one fruit or several combinations of fruit to make some really awesome tasting smoothies that will keep you full for a while. Frozen fruits will thicken your smoothie (or you can use yogurt or ice cream to thicken too).
 
Protein Smoothies
Protein smoothies are created by adding a protein powder to your smoothie mix. There are many different styles of protein powders on the market such as vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, & other flavors you can add to enhance your smoothie. Protein smoothies are helpful in getting much better nutrition or in weight loss. Soy protein & sometimes whey protein are added to the protein powders to enhance nutrition.
 
Yogurt Smoothies
Yogurt can be added to your smoothie to give it the “WOW” effect. There are many flavors of yogurt to choose from that will enhance the taste of your smoothie. We love to add yogurt to get some extra protein, vitamin D, & calcium
 
Green Smoothies
Green smoothies are made by blending leafy greens, like spinach, collard greens, or a leafy green of your choice mixed with fruit (fresh or frozen), ice, etc. The sweetness of the fruit will balance out any bitterness of the greens & will give your smoothie a sweet taste. They are a dynamite way of helping kids (& big adult kids) to eat healthy. Greens have many antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, live enzymes, phytonutrients, and amino acids (protein).  These really taste great when you blend them properly.
